BD7553B was built at Earlestown in 1954 to lot 2556, diagram 3/050. It was a general merchandise container and is an example of one of the most common designs. 9080 examples were built for general purpose use between 1948 and 1958. It has double hinged side doors of wood, with one end of horizontal corrugations and the other double opening doors. It is restored in 1960's "door-to-door" bauxite livery. It is resting appropriately on a Conflat A (container flat wagon) B506161. It arrived at Quainton on 16th July 1990. |
