Photos: Robert Frise - Ford's Oil Tank in Down Yard

One of two tank wagons that arrived on 4th December 2002 from Fords' of Dagenham. They have been donated as a result of the photo-charter involving Peckett No. 2087 during 2001. This wagon has "Shepherds Patent 130823.18" on the sides of the axleboxes and 9 x 41/4 on the front and are of the simple L.M.S. box pattern. W.R. Ltd is stamped on a buffer. It has restraining cables and wood block supports, spoke wheels, horse shunting attachment brackets, riveted tanks with a central turret. It is similar in appearance to the Esso tank in the down yard.
