This is an example of a standard GWR brake van, code named 'Toad'.  Very similar to No. 68642, this van spent all its working life based at Oxley sidings, before transfer to Didcot for use by Permanent Way Engineers on ballast and works trains.  It was withdrawn from British Rail service in August 1977, and subsequently purchased from Swindon in October 1977 by a QRS member.  It is now restored to GWR livery.
