These two flat wagons were both used for carrying sleepers, chairs etc. for permanent way work. A replica carriage as used on the Brill Tramway is now mounted on No. 4415 . This vehicle is believed to have originally been a box van. 4417 is believed to have been a plank wagon because of the particular fittings on the frame. It is interesting in that, while three axle boxes are marked LMS, the fourth is stamped L&YR (Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway). Both vehicles were latterly used by, and purchased from, the military.

4415 is on show in the downyard. 4417 is currently used as a replacement match wagon for the Metropolitan / G.C. Joint Committee Crane No. 1.
