LMS Brake Van No. 1692

This is the final type of standard Midland Railway brake van, and was built at Derby in 1923, the year of the railway grouping.  This 23ft 3in long vehicle was originally vacuum fitted. It was acquired by the Transport Trust in 1968, and was loaned to QRS.  It arrived at Quainton on 17th July 1969.

It is now restored to early LMS livery.
