Make a note of these dates in your diary and tell your friends and neighbours of the great programme of open days and steaming Sundays given below:-

Open Days:-

Easter: Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, 13th to 15th April

Spring Bank Holiday: Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 25th to 27th May.

Summer Bank Holiday: Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 24th to 26th August

Steaming Sundays:

28th April, 29th and 30th June, 28th July, 29th September and 27th October.

On 10th November a meeting is planned for members and this will be held at the Quainton Memorial Hall at 5 p.m. An illustrated talk will be given by Mr. Catchpole of the Ffestiniog Railway Society. His subject will be the Longmoor Military Railway, 1902 to 1972. Longmoor was the home of our Ivatt 2-6-2T, 41298, from August 1967 to December 1970 and the picture on this page shows the engine in the shed yard in June 1968 on one of its rare appearances. No prizes for guessing the identity of the chap on the ladder.
