From The Secretary
Personal Accident Insurance
Members will know that the Society provides Personal Accident Insurance for all members working at Quainton or on Society business elsewhere. We have previously had to notify our insurers when members reached the age of 70 years; this was always a problem as we do not know the age of all our members.
Agreement has now been reached with our insurers to extend cover to 75 years, but they will not extend it beyond this age. So members approaching 75 should remember that they will not be covered by our Personal Accident Insurance after they reach the age or 75 years. The lower age limit is 15 years as previously.
Model Railway Section
A number of members have suggested that the Society set up a Model Railway Section, i.e. 'O' gauge and below
The Executive have approved this in principle provided there is sufficient support from within the Society. It is considered that this will be an added attraction for our visitors and the proposal is that at least initially the layouts would be set up in a stripped MK I coach body.
Members interested should contact me or write to members TERRY AND GERALDINE STOCKWELL. c/o the station.
Congratulations to Jack and Hetma Biggs who married in Holland on 14.8.89.
