The Network Connection

I have devoted considerable time to this as I am convinced it is vital to the future prosperity of the Centre. The operation of a regular shuttle to Aylesbury is unlikely to be profitable.

I am working on the basis of a once a month event. Due to the difficulties of getting paths into Aylesbury, there would probably be just a morning pick up and a late afternoon drop off. The remainder of the day would be spent shuttling back and forth between Quainton and Claydon, with an occasional dash through our station.

This should increase the attraction of our Centre. However, the main payback is likely to come from visiting main line engines. Variety is essential to ensure repeat visits from customers. There are still many hurdles to cross, but I am concentrating on getting the initial cost down to a more reasonable level with alternative quotations and simplified 'signalling'.

The response to my appeal to members for an indication of financial support fell well short of the amount required. If you overlooked this, and, like me, feel the connection is essential, please get in touch; it's not too late.
