War Well Bogie Bolster No. 946

Built during the Second World War, War Department registered L.M.S. 946 was a specially designed freight vehicle for carrying battle tanks and other heavy machines.  It also carries plate quoting number LMS 1043.

One of two wagons that arrived in 2002 from the nearby Central Ordance Depot's Military Railway at Bicester.
