On Sunday, 29th April, London Transport ran a special train (reporting number 746 on London Transport and 1Z33 / 1Z20 / 5Z20 on Network Rail) composed of:

• Class 33 Class No 33012 / D6515 Lt Jenny Lewis RN
• 4 TC set - 76324 + 70823 + 71163 + 76297
• Class 20 No 20227 Sherlock Holmes
• Class 20 No 20142 Sir John Benjamin

Started from Neasden Depot at 09:41, then ran empty to Wembley Park platform 1, arriving 09:49, where the rail tour boarded. The train departed at 10: 17 and then ran as follows:

• Harrow-on-the-Hill - pass 10:22 (scheduled), 10:22 (actual)
• Amersham - pass 10:46 (scheduled), 10:54 (actual)
• Aylesbury - arrive 11:15 (scheduled), 11:11 (actual)
• Aylesbury - depart 11:20 (scheduled), 11:18 (actual)
• Quainton Road - arrive 11:53 (scheduled)
• Quainton Road - depart 15:05 (scheduled), 15:01 (actual)

Whilst at Quainton Road Class 20 locomotive No 20227 was named Sherlock Holmes. In addition, the tour also ran to Claydon Junction, with a scheduled departure from Quainton at 12:10, with a scheduled arrival back at Quainton at 13:20. In fact the train arrived back slightly earlier than scheduled at 13:00.
