Nunney Castle operated sixteen Aylesbury to Quainton shuttles with No. 6024 King Edward I over the August 1992 Bank Holiday weekend (30 / 31 August) to celebrate the centenary of the railway at Aylesbury.

After heavy overhaul Nunney Castle was operational on mainline tours from 2008, based at Tyseley. The loco was withdrawn from operation in 2015. Nunney Castle returned to mainline operation after overhal in 2025. Full details are available on Nunney Castle's own website.
