Ted Cooper - Roy and Vic pose with a splendid looking Defiant

Without the work done by our volunteers the Centre would not be the superb place it is for our visitors to enjoy. Our collection would also be much the worse without their attention. For those who have not yet taken the plunge, look at the wide variety of things that Roy Britton and Vic Nathan have worked on.

Roy and Vic have been volunteers at Quainton for about ten months now. During this time they have worked on various projects - including painting and installing TV on the Travelling Post Office coaches and refurbishing Defiant to a high standard. They have just finished repainting the cattle wagon in the cattle dock.

To quote them, "All of these projects have given us immense satisfaction as we feel that future generations will have the chance to appreciate the wonderful work done by all of these objects in the past. We feel that they all deserve to be restored to their former glory!"

The text in this Quainton Railway Society publication was written in 2008 and so does not reflect events in the 6+ years since publication. The text and photographs are repeated verbatim from the original publication, with only a few minor grammar changes but some clarifying notes are added if deemed necessary. The photos from the original publication are provided as scans in this internet version of this long out of print publication.
