As a part of the plans for the Up Yard Shed and the movement of the Ivatt Locomotives to the Isle of Wight, it has been agreed that the 6989 Group will relocate the tender and locomotive to the ex-carriage and wagon shed. This will a allow work on the tender tank construction to proceed unhindered by stock movements in and out of the Down Yard Shed. It will also be much more efficient of the Group's time as they will not have to "commute" between the two sheds as they have done for the last couple of years.
