Saturday 5th September brought the rare sight of a West Coast Railways special topped and tailed by Class 33 No. 33207 and Class 37 No. 37516 on a special working from Marylebone to Quainton. On arrival about 150 passengers left the train and spent an hour at the Centre whilst the remainder continued to Calvert before the train returned to London. Alan Walley travelled on the train from London and sold entry tickets on the outward journey. Members of the Executive Committee adjourned their meeting to help around the Centre looking after the visitors and encouraging them to spend their money in our numerous outlets.
