Nineteen of the twenty photographs in the centre spread [above] were taken at Quainton. The odd one was taken elsewhere and is nothing to do with our Society. The competition is for you to identify the locomotives which are illustrated and to single out the intruder! Write your name and address at the top of a sheet of paper and then list the photographs with the description of the locomotive as given in our Stock Book. The 'odd man out' should be given as 'The Stranger', and any member who successfully identifies it and its location will receive an extra mention in dispatches but no additional prize! Send your lists to me at:- xx xxxxxxxxxxx xxxxx, Each member is allowed one entry. Only members are allowed to enter the competition. The first prize is a voucher for £3.00 and the second prize £1.50 to be spent at Quainton bookstall. The closing date for the entries to arrive at this address is 14th January, 1973. Good luck with your application, but remember, please, the Editor's decision is final and will be based on the first correct entry submitted. The results will be published in the March issue of 'Quainton News'. Go on; have a go! |
