The 1975 Photographic Competition
We are pleased to announce the 2nd Quainton Photographic Competition is being held this year, not as a Xmas Competition, but in the summer. All entries are to be sent to the Editor, address inside the front cover, before 31st December 1975 and prize winners will be announced in the Spring 1976 issue of Quainton News. The details of the competition are basically similar to the first held last year. There are two sections, one for black and white and one for colour slides. Prints and slides must not be marked to identify the owner. Processing and printing can be done by the entrant or professionally but the photographs must have been taken by the entrant. The subject of every photograph must have a direct association with the Quainton Railway Society or with railways within a radius of ten miles of Quainton Road. We are grateful once again to Mr Les Elsey of Eastleigh who has agreed to judge the competition and we hope all members who possess a camera have a go! There is no limit to the number of entries per person and no entrance fee. There are prizes for each section; a first prize of £2 and second prize of £1 will be awarded and will be sent to the winners as cash vouchers to spend in the Quainton Sales Shop. Don't forget this announcement! Please send your pictures to John Fairman and lets have a record number of entries. |
