Formation of a 100 Club
Dear Member, A '100 Club' is a collection of people (nominally 100) paying a nominated amount per week, or month, into a kitty with a draw each week, or month, to allocate all or part of the monies, in prizes. In the case of the QRS it has been decided to form the 'QUAINTON RAILWAY SOCIETY Ltd' 100 CLUB. Shares in the club will cost £1.00 per month and may be paid by banker's order or direct to me. There is no limit to the number of shares any member may hold. Each share will be allocated a number which will go into the draw each month. The suggested prize money is based on a hundred shares and will be increased or decreased in proportion to the total number of shares taken up. Monthly, 1st prize £25. 2nd prize £15. 3rd prize £5. The club will come into operation from 1st January 1978 with the first draw taking place on 31st January. An application form is attached.
