Good progress is reported by Chris Taylor and Dusty Miller on fund-raising, but care is being taken to see that the locomotive is in a condition which will fully justify the expense of purchase and transport to Quainton. The Llangollen Railway Society are co-operating in this respect because they were interested in the locomotive early in 1975. On a visit to Barry last June, 7200 was in the group of sidings used for potential departures from the graveyard and this picture is reproduced to encourage any members who have not joined in the appeal to dip into their pockets! As I said in the Editorial, the arrival of this massive 2-8-2T at Quainton would be a splendid 10th anniversary present!
