Staff Changes
In addition to the changes mentioned in the Section Reports, Martin Jayson has taken on the post of Publicity Officer, because the former incumbent, Tony Lyster, has been forced to withdraw, due entirely to pressure of his occupation. He has done a first class job and we look forward to his active participation in future to the best of his ability. Ray Horsley has also resigned from the Chairmanship of the Open Days Sub-Committee, but will continue to serve on the Executive Committee for the present. His position has been filled by Chris Tayler. Finally, after several years of excellent service, Peter Hoskings has retired from the position of Sales Officer. As forecast in the last Quainton News, he has been replaced by Jo Boait. Peter built up the Sales Organisation of our Society to a high standard and the bookshop stocks are eagerly perused by many enthusiasts visiting us on Open Days. Jo will want your continuing support and you are reminded to order any books or other items of railwayana from QRS Sales. Appropriately (?), under this heading, we offer our congratulations to David Gomersall and Joanne Cleaver on their recent engagement. |
