Catering
As most of you will be aware I had my arm twisted to run Catering again. This I agreed to do for one year starting April 1993. My main aim is to provide a value for money service to our visitors and members and contribute a profit to Society funds. We have tried to improve the service - thus a Drinks chiller and carpet burgers, and we try to open Saturdays whenever I can find people to run the coach. We are also concentrating on increasing profit by selling Home Made (sorry, not allowed to say that any more) cakes and the new Mars Ice Cream. With these moves I hope to increase the catering profit. I feel that the current coach is time expired and will soon need replacing. I am putting my thoughts together as to how this should be done. If anyone has any ideas please let me know in the next few weeks. You are lucky to have a good committed team in refreshments but we still have room to expand so duties don't come round so often. For those who don't like being near the food we need table clearers on busy days. Writing a bit for Quainton News is one thing I forgot about when I agreed to come back so I hope this will do. Thanking everyone for their help in the last few months and looking forward to healthy profit for the Society. Bye for now. |
