Mr W S Brett

Sadly, Wally Brett died in January of this year, aged 75. Wally, together with his son Ken, worked in the Carriage and Wagon team in the early 1980's. They helped with the restoration of the Chatham coach, designing and making brackets for the head and arm rests, and building seat bases. They also provided and fitted some rail tubes for the luggage racks. At some time Wally also worked on the Diner, preparing panels for painting.

We say "thank you" for Wally's work at Quainton; we enjoyed working with him. We wish to extend our sympathy to his family.

It is also our sad duty to record the deaths of two other QRS members: Lew Cave (26 May 1993) and Tom Caudrey (6 June 1993). We extend our condolences to the families.
