Dance Line Productions

A casual observer might be forgiven for wondering what on Earth a full BBC TV Crew was doing at Quainton on Tuesday, 21st March, filming a programme for BBC about the history of dance. But sure enough on the due day there they were all clustered around a couple of Mark 1 coaches in Platform 4 with a rudimentary black-out shelter build out from the platform shelter over the roof of the coach. And that is about all we did see despite some close observation from the assembled 'Working Week' volunteers. Soon after 10 am a car load of nubile dancers did arrive but were whisked away by the film team whilst a little later a black-cloaked accordionist was noted - then nothing except a request for absolute quiet in the area.

All was made clear later as it seems the idea was to create the inside of a railway carriage compartment after dark - for technical reasons the sound is dubbed on later. I'm still not quite sure what it's got to do with dance though - watch BBC next January for enlightenment.
