Following the worst summer for years, all fingers were crossed for fine weather for the pre-78 August Bank holiday Rally. But once again the weather was kind and a total of 247 vehicles were registered by 1 pm when judging commenced. This gave the judges a very difficult job due to the high standard of restoration achieved. Trophies were presented at 4 pm to:
