F Poynter - The MS & LR 5-Compartment Carriage

We're famous for our C & W Stock Help us maintain and restore it!

There is something for everybody to do!

Carpenters, glaziers, joiners, painters, upholsterers and plumbers all play a vital part. Then there is the work on the steel panelling, on the running gear, brakes, lighting and roof covering. If variety is the spice of life, the C & W must be the best department to find it!

If you just enjoy doing a worthwhile job and admit to being a DIY craftsman, you'll be just the person we want. Why not join us and have the satisfaction of seeing the carriage or wagon you restored in action at Quainton.

The text in this Quainton Railway Society publication was written in 1979 and so does not reflect events in the 35+ years since publication. The text and photographs are repeated verbatim from the original publication, with only a few minor grammar changes but some clarifying notes are added if deemed necessary. The photos from the original publication are provided as scans in this internet version of this long out of print publication.
