Shed Noticeboard - Sentinel Trust Report

No. 6515 has seen much use and still causes a stir amongst those uninitiated people, who are convinced that it is a diesel!

No. 9537 appeared on Enthusiasts Day sporting a fresh green livery - so fresh in fact that whenever anyone went near it the owner was seen to lean out of his cab to see if any of it had transferred to the visitors!

No. 7

Work continues on the bonnet with the fitting of the new inspection doors prior to relocating it on the locomotive.

Unit 5208

Steady progress is being made, with attention centred on the headstocks.

No. 11

The sandboxes have been refitted to the engine and the gear cases have been reassembled.

The box van has had attention to the metalwork and more paint is being applied.

The text in this Quainton Railway Society publication was written in 1987 and so does not reflect events in the 27+ years since publication. The text and photographs are repeated verbatim from the original publication, with only a few minor grammar changes but some clarifying notes are added if deemed necessary. The photos from the original publication are provided as scans in this internet version of this long out of print publication.
